Nursing Practice/Regulation Coordinator

Job Purpose:
This position ensures that the Department of Nursing complies with all applicable State Boards of Nursing rules, regulations, and scope of practice for all nursing students; ensures that faculty supervising students in course work meet the states' board of nursing requirements; and works in close coordination with the Online College State Authorization and License Coordinator.

Ensures that the Department of Nursing complies with all applicable State Boards of Nursing rules, regulations, and scope of practice for all nursing students by:
Ensuring that all actively admitted online students can complete the required curriculum;
Attaining specific Board of Nursing (BON) approval, where required, for admitted and enrolled nursing students in conjunction with the Associate Dean and program directors;
Ensuring the Department of Nursing continues to meet the individual States Board of Nursing requirements.
Ensures that faculty supervising students in course work meet the states' board of nursing requirements by:
Determining which states require faculty to have a nursing license, and which license, based on scope of practice;
Working with the program directors to identify faculty who meet the states' board of nursing requirements to teach/supervise students.
Ensures that nursing students meet their respective states' board of nursing requirements by:
Working with the program directors, academic advisors, and the nursing clinical placement team to identify students who live in states with state board of nursing requirements for clinical placements and ensure that all requirements are met prior to the students' placements.
Performs other duties to support the College as assigned.
Contributes to the ongoing culture of the College by supporting its mission and values.
Consistently works collaboratively with co-workers within the department and across the campus by maintaining a positive problem solving attitude, listening and respecting the competing demands of others, and working toward the best solution for the College.
Contributes to the College's commitment of safety by using safe work habits using ergonomics, proper lifting and biohazard protocol as appropriate. Attends mandatory annual training.
Education and
Experience:
Minimum of Bachelor's degree, BSN or MSN preferred with active RN license
Equipment:
Ability to use computer, including word processing, excel, and learning management systems.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
Strong oral and written communication skills in English language.
Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities.
Tolerates work related stress effectively and maintains self-control/professionalism.
Ability to work as a functioning member of a team.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
