Job Description:
Gracie's Garden is a fermentory that cultures organic vegetables.
We make original flavors of sauerkraut and kimchi.
We are a small scale operation with 3 full time and several part time employees.
We are located on a small farm providing both indoor and outdoor work.
No experience required, willing to train We are looking for flexible workers who can learn multiple positions such as:
Processing vegetables:
Chopping cabbage and other vegetables to appropriate size Following recipes Combining ingredients Filling and transferring crocks to fermentation room Jarring up:
Putting the fermented vegetables into jars as instructed Lidding and cleaning jars Labeling:
Making and cutting labels Putting stickers on lids and labelling the jars Packing and marking boxes Orders:
Packing boxes and transporting to walk-in refrigeration Packing orders for delivery Keeping track of inventory Farm and Garden work:
We are a small working farm producing crops for processing into kraut.
Weeding, planting, harvesting, washing, and storing crops Work with animals Farmer's markets:
Picking up all needed supplies from Gracie's location before market on Saturday mornings (as early as 6am) Driving to location of market Setting up table, tent and jars of ferments as instructed Cash handling and use of square cash app Packing up and returning supplies and remaining ferments to Gracie's location We are looking for someone who:
Has attention to detail Is open to learning Is open to multiple positions/rotating duties Has good communication skills Good team work skills Consciousness Dependable Reliable transportation Ability to lift 35-40 lbs Hourly Rate:
$16-19 depending on experience Potential for housing for the right person or couple in a barn apartment or yurt Job Types:
